“Blessed are those who mourn,
for they shall be consoled.”
Matthew 5:4
Dear Friends in Christ:
On behalf of our parish community, we extend to you our prayers, condolences, and sympathies to your family during this difficult time as you mourn the loss of your loved one.
Your loved one is special both to you and to our parish community. Our parish staff will be available to assist you during this time of sorrow.
This Funeral Planning Guide for Families is offered as a way to assist with the planning and preparation for the Funeral Mass to be celebrated at the Church of Saint John.
This booklet guides you through the various options and selections with planning the Funeral Mass that are to be discussed with the priest celebrating the Funeral Mass. If you do not desire to take an active part in this process, the priest who will be celebrating the Funeral Mass will make the necessary selections.
Please be assured that you and your loved one are in our prayers. Both now and in the future, please feel free to contact us for any spiritual assistance and support.
May the God of hope give you the fullness of peace,
and may the Lord of Life be always with you.
Prayerfully in Christ,
Rev. Michael P. Kerrigan
