The Sacrament of Baptism

Families desiring to celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism for infants and young children are requested to schedule an appointment with Rev. Michael Kerrigan to discuss and review what will be required. Please contact the Parish Office (718) 548-1221 or Fr.Michael.Kerrigan@archny.org
Baptisms are usually celebrated once a month. Families should be active, practicing Catholics and registered members of our parish.
Baptismal sponsors or godparents (one man and one woman) who are not St. John parishioners will need to obtain letters from the parish where they are presently attending indicating that they are fully initiated Roman Catholics, regularly practice their faith, and that they may serve in this role.
