Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick
“Is anyone among you sick?
They should call for the priests of the church
and have they pray over them,
anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord”

The sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is for those who are seriously ill, have chronic ailments or health conditions, facing upcoming major surgery, those of advanced age, or a significant amount of time has passed since last receiving this sacrament. To request a parish priest to administer this sacrament, please call the Parish Office (718)548-1221 or stjohnvisitation@yahoo.com
If you know you will be entering the hospital for elective surgery, it is appropriate and recommended to receive the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick before entering the hospital. You may request one of the parish priests to celebrate this sacrament before admission
