Memorial Mass recalls those lost to COVID-19, offers solace for mourners

Date: March 15, 2021
BRONX, N.Y. (CNS) — As names of their loved ones lost to COVID-19 were read from the altar at St. John-Visitation Church, a muted gong sounded and dozens of people made their way up the sun-drenched main aisle to receive a memorial taper lit from the pascal candle.

Fr. Franklin’s School Project in Ghana
These are some photos of my school in Ghana: St. Anthony Preparatory School and the students. As you can see from the pictures, this is an ongoing building work in progress. Current project of the school is continuation of the pre-school block. The enrollment has increased and there is the need to get more classrooms. Also, scholarships are being created for some of our brilliant but needy pupils. Every academic year is divided into three terms and a scholarship for a pupil of the whole year will be about $350.00.
If you are in the position to help, you may send checks to:
St. Anthony Catholic Church
Box KS 11058
Ghana-West Africa
Checks to support the school should be written like this;
Franklin Owusu-Bekoe (St. Anthony R/C School, Buokrom)
There is a saying in my language that “kitewa biara nsa.” Literally, this means that “there is nothing that is small.”
Thank you in advance and God bless you!
